Interviewed by Servus TV, Christian Horner denied the many rumors that have circulated in recent days regarding Max Verstappen's contract, underlining how in the agreement signed this winter, shortly before the winter tests, there are no exit clauses linked to a possible farewell from Honda in the three-year period 2020-2022.

According to the English manager, the Dutchman is happy with the collaboration with Red Bull, an aspect that will almost certainly lead him to confirm his commitment to the team until the current contract expires in 2023.

“Without prejudice that the contracts between our team and its drivers are private, I can however say that in Max's contract there is no clause regarding the engine or the name of the supplier,” said Christian Horner. “Verstappen is a competitive driver. He feels comfortable within our structure and believes strongly in the Honda program, which is why we have to think about this season and next. There is still a long way to go."
