F1 | Hockenheim off the 2020 calendar, Teske: “We can't risk it”

Interviewed by the DPA press agency, Jorn Penske confirmed the rumors that have circulated in the last few hours on the Hockenheim, underlining how the German track will not host any final rounds of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship.

Due to the lack of audience and the economic situation of the facility, the organizers chose to interrupt negotiations with Liberty Medium, giving up a possible slot to be placed at the end of the season.

“We have tried to find a solution in recent weeks, but unfortunately we have not found a consensus with all the parties involved,” he said Jorn teske. “We couldn't afford to have an overload of expenses, especially after those faced over the last few seasons. Unfortunately we were unable to reach an agreement."
