F1 | Hamilton snubs IndyCar and 24h Le Mans: “I have other, more exciting passions”

Lewis Hamilton, having finished his career in Formula 1, he will completely abandon the world of racing. This was confirmed by "The Hammer" himself who, teased about his future, discarded attractive options such as IndyCar or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, reiterating his desire to move away from engines: “I have no desire to do any more racing” – declared the Mercedes driver. “By the time I stop, I might be 30 years old. Everything else is a step down the stairs. I wish I had more passion for racing in Indy Car or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but there's zero, there's nothing, I have more exciting things outside that I'm passionate about. My whole life has been based on motors, obviously it's difficult to imagine this thing outside of my life, but I will have more time to watch everything as a spectator. I will probably participate in some GPs and watch other sports that I love, such as the NBA, but in terms of racing I don't think I'll do any more races".

However, Hamilton stated that he respects the world ofIndyCar: “I have always respected and appreciated her. I got to watch her when she raced Fernando (Alonso, ed.), it was super exciting. I like the idea of being able to compete in more than one category. I have great respect for those riders, it's quite scary when they approach the barriers at that speed.".
