F1 | Hamilton: “I don't feel the fourth title is closer”

He's relaxed Lewis Hamilton at the conclusion of Japanese GP, which he won before two Red Bull di Verstappen e Ricciardo. The pilot of Mercedes leaves Suzuka with a 59 point lead in his pocket, after the retirement of Hag, when there are only four races left until the 2017 world title is awarded. Here are the words of the three-time world champion at the end of the day.

“What can I say, it's certainly a period that from a team point of view has been truly perfect, a perfect performance almost every weekend. I also like to think that I managed to get the most out of the car. They were lucky races: the others made mistakes and had reliability problems, and Mercedes is currently proving to be the best suited to survival in an environment like F1, when there are still four appointments to go."

“I don't feel the fourth title is closer, honestly I haven't thought about it until now. I'm still overwhelmed with where we are pace-wise and in the standings. I just have to keep doing what I'm doing, you don't have to go too far, bite off more than you can chew; I just have to focus on the present and try to win races."

“I believe the team is operating without any errors. Valtteri was in front after a long stint, I didn't ask him to let me pass but just to go faster, but he was struggling on the tires and Max was catching me; he did a great job getting out of the way. It was a difficult position for him, I understand, but I honestly believe the team did things the right way."
