F1 | Hamilton has no doubts: "Verstappen and Leclerc will be in the title game"
“These guys are all very young and talented,” added the Englishman from Mercedes
Speaking at an event of one of Mercedes' partners, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lewis Hamilton spoke about the duels we will witness in 2019, underlining how Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will be two guys to follow carefully during the next championship.
Both, in fact, will have strong motivations and will want to surprise with pace and consistency of performance. As regards his own objectives, however, the Englishman highlighted how it will be essential to find the right concentration, given that the world fight will not be limited only to Sebastian Vettel, but also to the drivers mentioned above.
Here are the words of Lewis Hamilton: “Red Bull is trying to become strong and there is a Max Verstappen who wants to try to win the world title. Furthermore, next year there will be a Charles Leclerc who will almost certainly want to impress in his first year at Ferrari."
“These guys are all very young and talented, while I will be the third oldest driver on the grid, even though I'm only 33. How can I stay fitter than all these guys? How can I stay more focused than all of them? It will be a difficult season and I will have to work hard to stay on track.", he added.
