F1 | Haas, Steiner responds to accusations from other teams: "I couldn't care less"

After really difficult years, the Haas was able to get back on top in 2022, moving out of last place and starting to achieve excellent results, obviously amidst some certainly not top-level performances. Over the course of the last season, several customer teams raised doubts regarding the relationship that has linked the US team to the Ferrari, and at certain times the VF-22 has been compared to F1-75, so much so that several prominent members of other teams have raised doubts regarding the relationships between the top teams and the so-called B teams.

“After all this time, I can say that I have become accustomed to these types of comments – admitted Guenther Steiner, Haas team principal to Autosport. The question is very simple: if you are good, then you are a copycat, while if you are doing badly, no one cares about the parts you have on the car. So okay, okay, as you say, we've heard it before. In short, it's a broken record, it's always the same conversations. For some time now all this hasn't bothered me in the slightest, to tell the truth I couldn't care less."
