F1 | Haas, Schumacher and Mazepin on the ninth row in Baku

The Haas of Schumacher and Mazepin will start from the ninth row in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Taking advantage of the accidents of Stroll and Giovinazzi in Q1, the rookies of the US team both gained two positions, but without ever really worrying those in front. After a suffering weekend like the one in Monaco, Mick managed to place himself ahead of his teammate again, who seemed quite competitive (relatively and considering the car he drives, ed.), but once again in qualifying he made several mistakes that they relegated him behind the German.

“There were a lot of red flags – Schumacher said. The track conditions changed a bit, which was to be expected. Overall we managed to place the car where we wanted, but in the last attempt I made a mistake in Turn 5, which cost me a bit in terms of lap time. Overall, we have maximized our package and now we will see what happens in the race. There was a lot of action today, and I think it will be the same in tomorrow's race."

“To be honest, it's the most disappointing day since I've been in Formula 1 – Mazepin admitted. The pace throughout the weekend was good, but I'm annoyed by the mistake I made on my fastest lap. Unfortunately I wasn't able to put everything together: where I come from, fighting for half a tenth means getting pole or not. Obviously we are a long way from that, but I'm trying to give 101% of myself, and today I overdid it. I am very disappointed".
