Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher closed the standings of the last Brazilian Grand Prix, the fourth-to-last round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship.

At the end of a difficult and full of problems, including the broken front wing on the German's car, the Haas drivers were unable to battle with Williams and Alfa Romeo, concluding another "poor" weekend in terms of results. The objective now will be to exploit what was learned in Sao Paulo to improve the car's performance in view of the final three races in the Middle East.

“The departure gave me mixed feelings,” the Russian said. “The start was good, but afterwards I had wheelspin and so the first corners were difficult to deal with. The first stint of the race went well and I think I managed the tires well. The team did an excellent job on the car. Then came the blue flags and the VSC and this complicated our lives considerably. Unfortunately, nothing more could be extracted from this race. We will try to do better in the next events."

Here are Mick Schumacher's assessments: “I fought with Kimi in the first laps of the race, a bit like we joked in the press conference. Unfortunately in the episode I broke the front wing and had to slowly return to the pit lane. These things happen, especially when you tackle a tight curve like the first S in São Paulo so closely. Overall, however, I think it was a good race, given that I was able to find a good rhythm afterwards. We leave Sao Paulo with many positive aspects that we can exploit in the next GPs. Personally I enjoyed it, even if the result wasn't what I wanted."
