F1 | Haas, Magnussen returns to the possibility of racing with his father Jan

With a 19 year difference Kevin Magnussen and father Jan they could very well be two drivers competing in the same category. A bit like Raikkonen e Leclerc, who spend 18 years together and are united by a strange destiny that has Ferrari red as its common thread. The first is the last world champion of the Red Team, the winner of the last GP in Austin who next year will leave the seat to the young GP3 and Formula 2 champion. In the name of a sort of generational change.

Kevin and Jan Magnussen do not race in the same category but the desire is strong, as Magnussen jr declares: “It is not easy to say with certainty what opportunities we will have to race together in the near future. Of course, I hope he continues running long enough to participate in races like Le Mans o Daytona Together. Competing at these levels with my father would be a dream that comes true".

Seeing them together in the same category would be a great story for the motoring world. For the moment, however, Kevin Magnussen is focusing on his present and on next race in Mexico, where last year he finished ahead of world champion Lewis Hamilton: “It was a great race. We managed to take advantage of other people's mistakes, bringing home important points in a difficult match for us."

With 53 points Magnussen is at ninth place in the drivers' standings: the fight with Hulkenberg and Perez in front and Alonso behind him is still to be played out.
