F1 | Haas, Magnussen: “We don't look at the Red Bulls: we are the 'better than the others', which is our goal”

Goal achieved for Haas: taking advantage of the misadventures of Ricciardo and Hamilton, the American team monopolizes the third row of the grid with yet another important qualifying, thus confirming itself as leader of the mid-table group. 5th place for Kevin Magnussen, 6th per Romain Grosjean, three tenths slower than his teammate: here are their words at the end of Saturday in Hockenheim.

ROMAIN GROSJEAN
Q1: 4th, 1:12.986 (+0.481)
Q2: 6th, 1:12.722 (+0.570)
Q3: 6th, 1:12.544 (+1.332)
“It was a pretty good session. We just have to see what happened on my last run. I went wide in Turn 1 and unfortunately I couldn't make the second attempt in Q3. Overall though, it was a good session. I'm really happy for the team. On a track where we weren't sure we would be competitive, we did well. We're right up there and it's very encouraging. We'll see what the weather will be like on Sunday - there's a bit of uncertainty about that, but I don't think we should worry about the cooler conditions. I think we are in a good position for the race.".

KEVIN MAGNUSSEN
Q1: 7th, 1:13.105 (+0.600)
Q2: 5th, 1:12.523 (+0.371)
Q3: 5th, 1:12.200 (+0.988)
“It was a good ride at the end. We haven't suffered any defeat from the Red Bulls: they are still too far ahead of us. But we are the 'better than the others', and this is our goal. Now we just need to confirm ourselves in the race, which is the biggest challenge. Regarding the race, I just hope that the riders in front of us start well, so that we have some free air and can set up our race. It looks like the temperatures will be a little cooler and considering the problems we had on Friday with the tires overheating, it should be a little better for us. We hope that the car behaves well, as happened in qualifying, and that we can get some good points.".
