F1 | Haas, Magnussen: “I've left the negative pressures behind me, now I enjoy it more”

Kevin Magnussenin Haas, he feels reborn. The 25-year-old Dane, fresh from his first season with the American team, told ad Motorsport the growth, especially mental, experienced this year, giving due credit to the air you breathe in Kannapolis: “I was able to leave the pressure of being a Formula 1 driver behind me, simply trying to enjoy things more” – declared the former Renault. “I'm focused and I'm working hard: I just have more pleasant and less negative pressure. Things are always easier when you're having fun, that's for sure. I'm having fun here, I like working with these guys and I like the mentality present within the team".

During the interview, Magnussen tied the tape again, returning to his exclusion from the 2015 World Cup: "It was difficult to spend a year out of Formula 1 in 2015, when I lost my job at McLaren for Fernando Alonso. Getting used to everything again took some time.".

With a year of experience behind him, Magnussen is confident of a positive second act of his experience at Haas: “In 2017 I felt more comfortable, then I can't wait for 2018 to start, with this team that I already know: I hope everything goes well".
