F1 | Haas, Magnussen: “I like the simplicity of this team, I can't complain”
On his home weekend in the United States: "There's more motivation to do well. The Austin circuit is fantastic"
A few days before the start of the United States Grand Prix, Kevin Magnussen presented the home event in Austin on the official Haas website.
THE HAAS WORLD - “From day one, I really enjoyed working with Gene Haas and the team. I like the simplicity of this team and the results show that this approach works. I can not complain".
CONSTANT GROWTH - “The team has grown every year. Everyone uses their experience better and better, while at the same time acquiring more. Furthermore, I think the quality of our car, in terms of actual construction, has definitely improved, as has our tire knowledge.".
EXTRA PUSH - “There is an extra will or motivation to do well here in the United States. We always attack hard to get the best possible result. A good result in America, at our home track, has greater meaning. America is not my home country, but it's just like I raced there that weekend.".
TRACK - “I would say COTA is one of the few new tracks that I really like. The first sector is incredible. There are also some good spots to overtake and take the slipstream. I think it's a great compromise. Maybe there are still a few too many run-off areas which makes the track a little too safe for my taste, but either way the layout of the circuit is fantastic. This track is a little better than most other circuits because there isn't just one overtaking point and that's right. It has several, not just one or two like most tracks.".
