The riders' point at the end of the weekend in Brianza

F1 | Haas, Magnussen and Schumacher outside the points at Monza

Placement outside the points zone for Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen at the end of the last Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the 16th round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship. The German from Haas, despite a difficult weekend, managed to lead a clean and flawless race, an aspect that allowed him to get closer to the top ten. A different story however for Magnussen, given that the Dane, due to damage to the floor caused by a contact in turn 1, was unable to make the most of the potential of his VF-22.

“I had a contact at the start of the race in turn 1”, said the Haas Dane. “I was hit from behind, in the speaker area, and I think this penalized our performance. Overall I would say it wasn't one of our best days. We always hope that the next race will be better and on paper Singapore should suit our car. I can't wait to get back to racing."

Here are Mick Schumacher's impressions: “Considering the few kilometers traveled over the weekend, in addition to the complex qualifying on Saturday, I would say that arriving so close to the points zone was positive. The Williams was super fast on the straights and even with DRS it was difficult to overtake Nicholas Latifi. Overall we are happy with the performance in the race."
