F1 | Haas, Magnussen and Grosjean positive: “The car has improved”

Another good, problem-free race for Haas: Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean finished the Styrian Grand Prix in twelfth and thirteenth position respectively. The Dane was classified fifteenth and immediately recovered some positions during the first lap; Grosjean, however, was forced to start from the pit lane, as the mechanics had to violate parc fermé rules after qualifying due to problems with the VF20.

"The car has improved. Of course, it's still not fast enough, but it's improved, so we'll keep working on it. It's important to feel good in the car, to have a good feeling. It was an uphill race, and the conditions were obviously better than on Friday and Saturday” said Grosjean.

"We knew that we wouldn't have enough pace today, that something unexpected would happen. Unfortunately, there weren't as many withdrawals this time. There weren't many opportunities to get to the points, unfortunately” these were the words of Magnussen, who was hoping for external help to recover positions and get closer to the points zone.

"Despite this, I had fun during the race. The start was good, I recovered quite a few positions already in the first lap, I think it's becoming my only attack weapon. The car performed well, we managed to extend the first stint enough to be able to change to the mediums, and it's more than we hoped for. This shows how this car can preserve the tires, even when pushing hard. We just need to find that little bit more in qualifying to be able to start from the front".
