F1 | Haas, Magnussen: “We did our best”

Another day without points for Haas, which in Sochi was unable to do better than Magnussen's twelfth place. The Dane managed to recover thanks also to a good start, taking advantage of the initial chaos, and still remained on the fringes of the points zone. Grosjean, however, did poorly in seventeenth: the Frenchman suffered the same problems he felt on Friday, which led him to even fall a second behind his teammate.

“We did our best – Magnussen admitted. On a day like this the team would have deserved some points. We weren't fast enough to make it. We were in contention for the top ten for almost the entire race, so a great job was done by everyone. Even if there is nothing to celebrate, I think we can be satisfied with ourselves and the progress we are making, both at an operational level and on the set-up of the car."

“We managed to get through the first lap unscathed, with both cars in the points – Grosjean said. The problems we had on Friday recurred today too, while yesterday with new tires and little fuel we got away with it, today however it was very difficult to ride. From the first laps I felt that there was something wrong, I had no grip at the rear. We hope to be able to analyze everything and improve for the next race."
