F1 | Haas, Grosjean on the start of the world championship: "Mentally and physically I'm ready"

Over the weekend the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship will finally resume on the Austrian Red Bull Ring circuit. A special occasion, because not only will it be the first appointment on an atypical track compared to what we are used to and because it will also be the first race after a long break, but also because the track will host a double consecutive appointment, with the two Grand Prizes spaced one week apart.

After such a long break, one wonders in what condition the drivers will arrive at the first round of the season, especially considering that not everyone had the chance to test the car in advance, like Alfa Romeo, Williams and Haas. From this point of view, in any case, Romain Grosjean feels calm: “I think that physically I am in the best condition ever from a personal point of view. Your neck will certainly be put to the test. Mentally I'm ready, I can't wait to get back to racing. We didn't have the chance to drive our car like the other teams, but I don't think it will be a problem when we return to racing in Austria", commented the Frenchman.

After a disappointing season, the American team expects a lot from the 2020 single-seater, even if it will be complicated to understand in the short term how it will behave, despite the first tracks of this world championship guaranteeing ample variety, especially looking at the next events: "I don't think we will understand everything from Austria, because it is only a race with a single layout, a detail like that of the Red Bull Ring. I don't think we can understand how the car behaves after two races in Austria. I hope he behaves well, so we can start our season with a good result,” added Grosjean.
