F1 | Haas, Grosjean: “We can be very proud, we have confirmed the test results”

The Haas the real surprise of these first qualifications of 2018: driven by a VF-18 in great shape, Kevin Magnussen e Romain Grosjean in Melbourne they finished in 6th and 7th place respectively and tomorrow, due to the three-place penalty inflicted on Daniel Ricciardo, they will start side by side on the third row. The two drivers, via the official Haas website, expressed their satisfaction with this Saturday's epilogue as the first team chasing the top teams.

Romain Grosjean
Q3: 7th – 1:23.339 (+2.175)
“Everyone is very happy and what we have achieved reflects the hard work of everyone on the team. Our result confirmed a bit of what we saw in the winter tests. I can push the car as much as I want, which obviously makes me very happy. Kevin (Magnussen) also did a good job and this allowed us to move both cars to the third row. It will be very nice to be there. Points could be possible: obviously, we want to maintain our positions. We're starting from a good position, but we'll see what happens tomorrow. This is a good start. We can be very proud, but we have to keep pushing.".

Kevin Magnussen
Q3: 6th – 1:23.187 (+2.023)
“The car was pleasant to drive in qualifying. I was able to push hard when braking and always let go of the brakes earlier lap after lap. It was really nice because the car had no unexpected reactions. I can't wait to start tomorrow from fifth position. We have some fast riders behind us, so we will have to do well to confirm ourselves. We will do everything we can to achieve a good result. We need a solid start to the season: we will have to capitalize on the results obtained in today's qualifying in the race.".
