Friday in Hockenheim also confirmed the trend of recent weeks: currently, it is the Haas the fourth force on the field. In Germany, Romain Grosjean e Kevin Magnussen they followed the top teams, with the French driver even dropping below the 2:1 mark in FP14, finishing 6th, about half a second behind Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari.

ROMAIN GROSJEAN
FP1: 7th, 1:14.691 (+1.166) – 29 laps
FP2: 6th, 1:13.973 (+0.888) – 34 laps
“I'm pretty happy with our day. We are the fourth fastest team again, where we want to be. It was very hot today, which may not be repeated over the weekend, so we will keep an eye on the situation. However, the machine has performed very well so far, especially in the high-speed sectors. Overall, the tires didn't have 'fun', I think that's the case for everyone, but it's difficult to keep them fresh. Let's hope for a dry race, it would be easier for everyone. We have to choose the right tire at the right time. The temperature should be a little cooler for the race: this would help us with tire management and allow us to push a little more”.

KEVIN MAGNUSSEN
FP1: 8th, 1:14.853 (+1.328) – 28 laps
FP2: 7th, 1:14.189 (+1.104) – 36 laps
“It's a nice track. I like driving here, we are happy with our day. We need to try to find a little more pace in the long runs, with a lot of fuel on board, but with the car unloaded we seem very competitive. The grip of the track is quite low, so the car moves: it's as if you have a bit of understeer and a bit of oversteer. Tire wear, in terms of actual wear, is not that bad, but the degradation is high because the temperatures are very hot and the tires overheat. We will work on this hoping to make some progress. Also, I think the weather will be a little cooler in the next few days, so it might not be a big deal. So far, everything seems to be fine.".
