F1 | Haas, Grosjean: “There is a lot to do”

Disappointing race for the American team in Monza, which ended with Romain Grosjean's sixteenth fastest time and Kevin Magnussen's retirement due to a hydraulic problem. These are the statements from the Haas drivers:

Romain Grosjean: “It was very complicated. At turn 1 they hit me and the anti-stall system came into operation, I had to pull in and release the clutch, while I was doing all this I was going through the polystyrene blocks, I found myself behind. I tried to push to recover but I spun at the Ascari. I went into the pits and asked the team to remove quite a bit of aerodynamic balance, as the car was all on the front. We did this, but the car was still too balanced. We made another pit stop and removed one percent of the aerodynamic balance, but the car was again overbalanced. Surely something went wrong. We have to analyze everything, the balance we had in the race was absolutely not what we had during the rest of the weekend. There is a lot to do".

Kevin Magnussen: “In the end I had a hydraulic problem, so unfortunately we had to withdraw. Until then, it was going well. I was fighting to keep a few riders behind, which was normal for me these days. That said, we were in a good position and a lot of other people were having problems. It was just bad luck that was our problem in the end. If we look on the bright side, we were in the top ten from the start to the end of our race at least. It's not entirely the truth but at least we were trying. It looked like we could do something, but obviously I'm disappointed that we had to withdraw in the end."
