F1 | Haas, Arjun Maini confirmed as development driver: he will join Santino Ferrucci
The 20-year-old Indian will race in parallel in Formula 2 in the Trident team, always paired with the Italian-American
Through an official note, the Haas confirmed for the second consecutive year Arjun maini in the role of development pilot. The 20-year-old Indian will join in the same role Santino Ferucci, with whom he will also share the experience in Formula 2: both, in fact, will compete for the Trident team. Maini has just returned from two seasons in GP3.
“I am extremely proud to be part of the Haas team” – said Maini. "Being involved in a Formula 1 program really accelerated my learning both on the track and with my engineers. In fact, it has already helped me transition from GP3 to Formula 2. Thanks to the support of the Haas team I am getting closer to my goal of competing in Formula 1.".
The team principal Guenther Steiner ha aggiunto: “Arjun enjoyed an outstanding season in GP3 last year and we will be keeping an eye on his progress in Formula 2 this year. It has a success story wherever he has been competing: now we will support his efforts as he moves up to Formula 2.".
