F1 | Grosjean: “Definitely better than what we expected”
Then on the penalty: "I will watch the video of what happened to understand"
Romain Grosjean, who started 13th, finished the Monte Carlo Grand Prix in 10th place, after a 5-second penalty for touching the line that determines the return lane of the drivers after the pitstop. His teammate, Magnussen, instead finished 14th. (raced, completed 78/78 laps)
The Frenchman commented: “It's a better result than we expected, that's for sure. It was a good race. We tried a different strategy. I think Albon's Toro Rosso stayed at the front a little too long. We did our best, we tried. It's a shame I didn't finish ahead of Sainz, because I would have had a lot more pace at that point in the race than him. Then I got the penalty at the end of the race. I'll watch the footage of what happened to understand. I came close, I think there's a piece of my wheel touching the line, but I still got the penalty,” he said of the penalty he received.
