F1 | Grosjean reveals: “We can't wait to get back to racing”

There is excitement among the Formula 1 drivers. Romain Grosjean, standard bearer for Haas, was contacted by Sky Sports, and spoke about the WhatsApp group in which the protagonists of the world championship are part. The Frenchman revealed how there is a desire to return to racing as soon as possible after the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus, admitting that some things will change at least for the first races, with a limited number of people in the paddock, but it is the first step towards returning to complete normality.

“We have a WhatsApp group, it's been very active I must say – Grosjean said. There were many discussions on different topics: we spoke with Chase Carey and Ross Brawn, but I wasn't able to join the call, but I know that Alex Wurz and Sebastian Vettel, president and director of the GPDA were present and updated me. We are trying to be involved as much as possible, we have to help the teams as best we can and for this reason we will have to race sooner or later. Everyone is doing their best, but it is very difficult to know how the situation will evolve: we will have to take the right measures and make sure that everything goes well. Probably in July the world will be a better place and we will be able to lighten things up a bit, so the sooner we run, the better. Let's say it will be normal and abnormal at the same time: we will return to racing but we will have a limited number of people around us and without an audience, so some things will be the same, others very different. But it will be fine, we can't wait to get back to racing."
