Followed by: Valtteri Bottas, the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon, Pierre Gasly, Romain Grosjean, Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat.

The session was affected by rain and was also suspended to allow the stewards to clean a section of the track. However, the drivers were not surprised and performed their long runs where at the moment the most consistent team was Mercedes.

Let's review the most important moments of the second free practice session!

News – Cloudy skies in Monza with 19 degrees in the air and 26 on the asphalt. Green light and off we go with all the drivers on the track! The first time recorded was that of Charles Leclerc but he was beaten by Lewis Hamilton in 1:22.450.
Vettel takes the lead, but Hamilton takes back first place in 1:21.972. 18 minutes after the start, the rain arrives.

Leclerc sets the pace with 1:20.978, followed by Sebastian Vettel. Subsequently, however, due to a dirty track at the second chicane, the session was interrupted to allow the stewards to clean up the section.

The session resumes and the drivers begin their simulations in view of qualifying and the race, while Hamilton approaches second position, 68 thousandths behind Leclerc.
The drivers then begin the long runs and there are no upheavals in the standings but at the moment Mercedes is the team with the best pace. The rain increases but it doesn't seem to be a problem for the riders on the track.
We reach the checkered flag with the best time of Charles Leclerc, ahead of Hamilton and Vettel.
