Max Verstappen has been awarded as driver of the day of the US Grand Prix, eighteenth round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship.
On the Austin track the Dutchman was the protagonist of a great comeback: starting 18th he finished the Texan race in second place, behind the winner Kimi Raikkonen.
With second place, Verstappen made up for a difficult Saturday where he was eliminated in the second qualifying heat after the right rear suspension broke in Q1 which forced the mechanics to replace the gearbox on the RB14 number 33 with a corresponding penalty.
For Verstappen it is the fourth recognition of the season as pilot of the day after those obtained in Austria, Singapore and Russia.
