Intercepted by Federica Masolin at the end of qualifying for the United States Grand Prix, the third to last round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship, Mattia Binotto commented on the qualifying of Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, underlining how Ferrari did its best after the good performances on Friday.

Contrary to predictions, in fact, Valtteri Bottas managed to put together an absolutely perfect lap, beating the German from the Red by just twelve thousandths. A minimal gap, but which will allow the Finn to start from pole position.

Despite this, however, Binotto said he was optimistic ahead of this evening's race, given that the SF90 has significantly improved compared to Friday's free practice. The objective, precisely in this sense, will be to make the most of the pace and tires, seeking a victory that would boost morale in view of the end of this season.
