Interviewed by Sky Sport F1 HD yesterday, Max Verstappen preferred to dismiss the rumors that he would be fighting for the championship with Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, underlining how Mercedes, despite Hockenheim's failed pass, is still the best car on the starting grid.
Despite the two successes achieved in Austria and Germany, in fact, Hamilton has always shown a superior pace compared to his opponents, an aspect that closes off any title chances for the Dutchman, at least for this 2019. Red Bull, rather, will have to try to raise the bar again, so as to get closer to Mercedes performances before the last Abu Dhabi GP.
