F1 | Turkish GP, Free Practice 3: Verstappen precedes Leclerc
Rain and a slippery track had a major impact on the session
The third free practice session of the Turkish Grand Prix recently ended. The rain and the very slippery track complicated the work of the teams and riders, to the point that the continuation of the weekend is in doubt. Many drivers spun and went off track, complaining that it is impossible to race in these conditions. Qualifying is scheduled for 13pm but the conditions will be similar as the track is very cold and the asphalt will not dry in time.
The best time was recorded by Max Verstappen in 1:48.485. The Dutch driver preceded the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc and his teammate, Alex Albon.
Fourth time for the Renault of Esteban Ocon, followed by the McLaren of Lando Norris and Sebastian Vettel.
Sergio Perez's Racing Point was seventh, Valtteri Bottas eighth on Mclaren.
Kevin Magnussen and Lance Stroll close the Top 10.
