F1 | GP Singapore, Verstappen: “Happy to be in the top three”

Good performance for Max Verstappen who finished the Singapore Grand Prix in third position. The Red Bull driver managed not to be overtaken by Lewis Hamilton, despite the difficulties in warming up the tires after the three safety cars:

“The whole race went well, at the beginning we were very slow and we were crowded together. Then I started to struggle with the tires so we made the pit stop and it was a very positive call because we managed to undercut Lewis. After that, we just managed the tires to get to the finish line. It was a bit complicated with the various Safety Cars and the restarts because the tires cooled down a lot. I'm happy to get on the podium, it's always difficult to overtake here and being able to do it with the strategy is very positive. I take home a nice haul of points, there are many things to analyze and work on but in any case I'm happy to have finished in the top three. It was a difficult race because when you have to warm up the tires you work harder. Especially towards the end, when Lewis was pushing. However, it's positive because this makes you push yourself to the max and it's more fun."
