F1 | Singapore GP, Ocon happy with the new Marina Bay layout

F1 GP Singapore Owith new layout – While waiting to take to the track on Friday for the first free practice sessions, Esteban Ocon gave full praise to the new layout of the Marina Bay circuit, the scene of the next Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. According to the Frenchman, the abolition of the two chicanes 16 -17 and 18-19 in T3 will make the circuit not only faster and more exciting, but also easier for overtaking, an aspect which will almost certainly guarantee more action for the fans in the race which will be staged on Sunday afternoon from 14.00pm (live on Sky Sport F1HD).

“The new layout is very positive news,” said the Alpine driver. “If they change a track that you don't really like riding, you can't help but be happy. We hope that the new configuration will help overtaking, which previously was practically impossible. We can get closer to the cars in front of us, I'm almost sure, and this will change a lot of things for Sunday's race."
