Interviewed by Mara Sangiorgio at the end of the race, Lewis Hamilton commented on the fourth place obtained in the last Singapore Grand Prix, the fourteenth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how the defeat was absolutely bitter, especially for the world in which she has matured.

Despite the excellent pace on the soft tyres, in fact, the Englishman was slowed down by the bland race pace of Charles Leclerc, who did his utmost to ruin the undercut strategy (the objective was to keep the group compact, so as to postpone the first stop as much as possible. Ed.).

A risky maneuver, but one that did not allow Mercedes to change the cards on the table during the first stint of the race. The objective now will be to quickly forget this defeat, thus focusing on the next round in Russia.
