Program completed for Scuderia Ferrari on Friday of the Russian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel occupied second and fifth positions respectively in the day's timesheets. For the two drivers of the Maranello team, the work initially focused on setting up the cars and checking the aerodynamic package introduced in Singapore on a very different track like that of the Sochi Autodrom. In the afternoon session, priority was given to preparing for tomorrow's qualifying and Sunday's race, with race simulations carried out with both the softer and medium compounds.

FP1. In the 90 minutes of the morning, Charles and Sebastian completed a total of forty laps, twenty each, obtaining the best and third times respectively in 1'34"462 and 1'35"005.

FP2. The second session saw Charles in second place, behind Max Verstappen, and Sebastian in fifth position. Both drivers completed the program, bringing the total number of laps completed to 105. The German and the Monegasque began the 90 minutes of activity at the Sochi Autodrom with medium tires, obtaining the best lap times of 1'34”148 and 1'34 respectively. ”306. The two then switched to the softer compound made available by Pirelli and the times thus dropped to 1'33"497 for Charles and 1'34"201 for Seb, who made a small mistake on his best lap.

Long runs. In the second part of the session, race-related work began with long runs which were carried out with soft and medium compounds. The SF90s will return to the track tomorrow at 12pm (11am CET) for the last hour of free practice ahead of qualifying which will start at 15pm (14pm CET). The sixth edition of the Russian Grand Prix will start on Sunday at 14.10pm (13.10pm CET).
