Sergio Perez is ready to face the next Portuguese Grand Prix, the 12th round of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship. The Mexican from Racing Point, after the excellent fourth place achieved in Germany, will try to confirm itself in the top areas with the aim of giving the team important points to fight for third place in the constructors' classification.

“I think this is a period full of unknowns for everyone,” said the Mexican. “We have returned to Germany after some time and in the next two weeks we will race in Portimao, an absolute novelty for Formula 1, and on the Imola circuit. It's unusual to do such a long series of races on tracks we don't know, but as a driver it's a feeling that I like. It's always a challenge to race in a new or new layout."

“I honestly hope that this situation can mix things up and generate an exciting Sunday for the fans,” he continued. “I rode it in 2009 in Portimao, but that was a long time ago and I don't remember much. For me too, therefore, it will be like driving on a totally new track. It will be a big challenge and we should all get our act together quickly."
