F1 | Italian GP, Leclerc: “It's very special to race at Ferrari's home ground”

What we are experiencing is the week that will lead us to the Italian GP which returns to host the public after the 2020 cancellation caused by the pandemic. The last time the stands were packed to celebrate was Charles Leclerc, with the Monegasque who brought Ferrari back to the top step of the home race after a nine-year drought.

While waiting to return to the track at the Brianza circuit with the Red, Leclerc recalled that splendid victory two years ago (where he was the protagonist of a splendid defense against Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes) and hopes that the public present will be able to give support at the Cavallino as happened for Verstappen in the recent Zandvoort event.

"Monza is always extremely special for the drivers and the team – declared Leclerc, quoted by GPFans – It is the home track of the squad. Obviously what I experienced in 2019 I will remember for the rest of my life. This year might be a little more difficult than 2019, but it will be nice to feel the support. The madness we saw for Max at the Dutch GP I hope to see for us in Monza, but it is always very special to race at Ferrari's home ground".
