Monza will continue to be an integral part of the Formula One world championship calendar. The historic Brianza track, home of the Italian Grand Prix, has in fact renewed its contract with the Circus until 2024.

The announcement of the five-year agreement arrived this afternoon during the event, held in Piazza Duomo in Milan, where the 90 years of Scuderia Ferrari and those of the Italian Grand Prix were celebrated.

"This is one of four Grands Prix that were part of the 1950 championship and together with the British Grand Prix it is the only one that has been held every year since. History, speed and passion are the words that motorsports fans associate with Monza. The feeling you get from this race is truly unique, as is the circuit's distinctive podium. I would like to thank the ACI, in particular its President, Angelo Sticchi Damiani for his efforts and this five-year agreement means that another part of the puzzle for Formula 1 of the future is in place. The championship features many historic venues such as Monza and also new countries where our sport's already large fan base can grow,” said F1 CEO Chase Carey.

"It's like winning a Formula 1 Grand Prix, very tough and important, fought to the finish line which counts not one but five titles! It is with great satisfaction that I welcome the conclusion of the agreement between ACI and Formula 1, which guarantees the inclusion, for the next five years, of the Italian Grand Prix in the calendar of the Formula 1 World Championship and ensures that the The event takes place in the "Temple of Speed": the Eni circuit in Monza, not only the oldest circuit but also the fastest and most spectacular in all of motorsport. A great result for ACI, for Monza, for the Lombardy Region and for Italian sport in general, which opens a five-year perspective to build a future that corresponds to the legendary past that has made Monza a world capital of motorsport”, said ACI president Angelo Sticchi Damiani.
