The Finn precedes Hamilton and Verstappen
The pole position of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix goes to the Finn Valtteri Bottas, author of the best time in 1:13.609. Second position for teammate, Lewis Hamilton. Third time for Max Verstappen's Red Bull; credit goes to the team who managed to fix a spark plug problem in record time.
Fourth time for a very good Pierre Gasly on AlphaTauri, followed by Daniel Ricciardo's Renault.
The other Red Bull of Alex Albon was sixth, ahead of the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc who brought the Scuderia from Maranello into the top ten despite the difficulties.
Daniil Kvyat was eighth with the Renaults of Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz finishing the TOP 1 of qualifying.
Sebastian Vettel's performance was disappointing and he will have to recover from 14th position.
