Interviewed by Mara Sangiorgio during the second free practice session valid for the British Grand Prix, the tenth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship, Mario Isola commented on the many mistakes made by the drivers during today, underlining how the new asphalt had a significant impact on driving.

In fact, thanks to the work carried out in recent months, the track has a fairly smooth surface, an aspect that is helping the drivers to lower their times compared to last season. Some dips, however, have remained unchanged and this, obviously, is leading the drivers to test the right trajectories in view of qualifying.

Also not to be underestimated is the different angle of some curves. The track, let's remember, evolves from session to session, a factor that could offer several interesting ideas regarding strategies from a race perspective.
