During the live broadcast of the last French Grand Prix, the eighth round of this 2019 Formula 1 world championship, Matteo Bobbi analyzed the beautiful duel between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen immediately after the first corner of the race, underlining how both came very close to contact in the stretch that leads from turn 2 to turn 3.

After a so-so start, in fact, the Dutchman managed to come alongside the Monegasque's SF90, an aspect that allowed him to attempt an overtaking immediately after the first corner of the Le Castellet track. The Monegasque's stubbornness, however, did not allow the Red Bull standard-bearer to take second place, an aspect that would have been extremely important from a strategy and tire management perspective.

Charles Leclerc, we remember, ended his race in third position, close to Valtteri Bottas' Mercedes, while Max Verstapen managed to resist Sebastian Vettel's attacks, finishing his race in fourth position.
