After a good battle with his teammate and Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas managed to conquer pole position on the Nurburgring track, prevailing over Lewis Hamilton and the Dutchman from Red Bull, who appeared fast and "lively" compared to the trip to Russia.
Fourth place for a sensational Charles Leclerc, able to make the most of the potential of the SF1000, followed by Alex Albon and the two official Renaults of Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon. Lando Norris, Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz complete the top ten lineup.
