F1 | Spanish GP, Toro Rosso: “In the winter tests we went well on this track”

We are approaching the Spanish Grand Prix, the fifth round of the 2019 Formula 1 world championship, which will take place this weekend on the Barcelona circuit. It is a well-known track for the teams, not only for its long history in this series, but also as it is home to the winter tests, 8 days of testing in which all the teams take to the track for the first time with the new car, obtaining numerous data.

Who wants to do well is undoubtedly Toro Rosso, which has always lacked something to be able to conclude a linear weekend and with both cars in the points, despite good performances and still unexpressed potential, as the drivers also confirmed in the classic preview of the Grand Prix.

Daniil Kvyat: “It's true that we did well on this track during the winter tests, but that doesn't mean there will be fewer challenges. I hope we can have a weekend where everything is linear, in all sessions and in the race. So far this year, sometimes we have been fast in qualifying, sometimes in the race. We just need to have a straight weekend."

Alex Albon: “In my first test I didn't really know what to expect. We will continue following our development plan, we will bring some updates to the car here in Spain and I am very happy about that. Our goal is to consistently be in the top ten. We were competitive in Barcelona during the winter tests, we hope we can continue like this."
