George Russell has received a three-place grid penalty and one point on his license for contact with Carlos Sainz on the first lap of the Sprint Qualifying Race at the British Grand Prix.

The English driver had finished the mini race in ninth position but the stewards, after having viewed the videos and summoned the drivers and team representatives, gave full responsibility for the contact to Russell.
