Max Verstappen was elected driver of the day of the Chinese Grand Prix. The Dutchman was the author, also favored by the chaotic first phases of the race, where the drivers returned to the pits to replace the intermediate tires and fit slick ones, of an excellent comeback which took him from P16 (yesterday he had qualified with the 19th time, advancing on the grid today by virtue of the penalties of Giovinazzi, Grosjean, Palmer) to the final third place.
A placing that allowed the Dutchman to achieve his first podium of the season, the hundredth in the history of Red Bull. For Verstappen this is the first seasonal recognition as pilot of the day.
