F1 | GP Canada, Raikkonen: “The mistake made in qualifying didn't help us in the race”

Kimi Raikkonen finished the Canadian Grand Prix in sixth place, the seventh round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship, held on the semi-permanent track of Montreal.

Analyzing his subdued race, the Finn declared: “The mistake made yesterday in qualifying did us no favors for the race. Overtaking here was very difficult. I tried to overtake Hamilton after the pit stop, but it didn't work. Then it was difficult to even get close enough to him to open the DRS. It was a surprise because on this track you expect to see several overtakings, and instead it went very similar to two weeks ago in Monaco. The race was boring and not much happened. We decided to stay out a little longer with the first set of tires and I don't think it cost us any positions - it was the only option we had to try something different".
