F1 GP Canada | Ferrari in the crosshairs: Vanzini analyses the moment and talks about the pressure in Maranello [VIDEO]

F1 Canadian GP Ferrari – The Canadian trip ended with a double points finish for Scuderia Ferrari, but far from the top positions. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, sixth and seventh respectively at the finish line, collected a result that does not reflect the expectations of the Prancing Horse, in a period in which the environment around the team appears particularly agitated. Taking stock of the situation was Carlo Vanzini, a well-known face of Formula 1 on Sky, who commented on the rumors that have been circulating in recent weeks about the future of the Italian team. According to the journalist, the context in which they work in Maranello remains unique in terms of intensity and visibility, with consequences that can be felt at every level, including that of the drivers.

“Ferrari is certainly the team that works under the most pressure. It has always happened, certainly not just now,” explained Vanzini during the usual post-GP meeting. “In 1996 everyone wanted to oust Todt, Schumi defended him tooth and nail and won the Drivers’ World Championship in 2000. In Maranello you are always under pressure.” The reference is not accidental. The atmosphere that reigns within the team is perceptible even by those who have recently arrived, like Hamilton, struggling with a difficult adaptation phase.

“Maybe it’s a good thing that Kimi is at Mercedes, because it takes the pressure off him…”, added Vanzini, referring to Antonelli, a young talent in the Brackley orbit, whose path at the moment remains distant from the expectations that instead gravitate around Ferrari.

The championship will resume in two weeks with the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, scheduled for June 27-29. The weekend will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F1 and streamed on NOW, with the aim for the Italian team to regain competitiveness and convincing responses after a difficult period.
