F1 | Belgian GP: multi-year contract extension

Formula 1 has agreed a multi-year extension with the Belgian Grand Prix that will see the cars race at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for four of the next six years. The extension, which covers the 2026, 2027, 2029 and 2031 seasons, follows significant investment at the circuit in recent years, including the addition of two new grandstands, increasing capacity by 10.000, and improvements to off-track entertainment and the fan experience.

This year, the Belgian Grand Prix welcomed 380.000 fans across the weekend, with three days of thrilling action that saw Lewis Hamilton take his second win of the season and his fifth at Spa. At 7,004km, it is the longest circuit on the Formula 1 calendar and has seen some of the sport’s most legendary drivers win, including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda and Sebastian Vettel. From the current grid, Lewis Hamilton has also taken victory at the circuit, with Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen also among those on the grid.

Stefano Domenicali's Statements, Spa GP Renewal

“The Belgian Grand Prix was one of the races that made up our first championship back in 1950, so as we kick off our 75th anniversary year it is fitting that we can share the news of this important expansion.
Spa-Francorchamps is rightly lauded by drivers and fans as one of the greatest circuits in the world and has hosted some incredible moments over its many seasons in Formula 1. It has undergone significant work in recent years to improve the facility and the overall fan experience, and I would like to pay tribute to the promoter and the Walloon Government for their dedication and passionate support of Formula 1 in Belgium.”

The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix will take place from 25 to 27 July and will see the return of the Sprint, offering fans even more exceptional race entertainment across all three days of the race weekend.
