During the second free practice session valid for the Belgian Grand Prix, Matteo Bobbi analyzed one of the innovations presented by Mercedes for this Spa weekend, pointing the magnifying glass at the rear rims of the W09 EQ-Power+.
According to the Sky talent, in fact, the world champion Scuderia has intervened to completely eliminate the excessive overheating of the rear compounds, presenting in Belgium a rim equipped with some air vents. With this new solution, James Allison hopes to resolve the major consumption problems experienced in Hungary, eliminating a problem that could severely penalize Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in the hottest weekends of this season finale.
