Interviewed by the Kleine Zeitung newspaper, the Austrian sports minister, Werner Kogler, said confirmed the rumors circulated in recent days regarding the organization of the Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, underlining how holding the race scheduled for April 5th is an option currently being examined by the competent bodies.

According to the current Austrian Sports Minister, the government is putting together an action project which aims to safeguard the event from the current emergency linked to the spread of the Coronavirus. An ambitious plan, but which will necessarily have to go through the consensus of the teams, given that the objective is to avoid a new situation similar to that of Melbourne.

“I am not directly responsible for this choice, but it would be conceivable for me,” declared the Austrian Minister. “It's a possibility, but the teams of formula 1 they must be ready. It's a constantly evolving situation."
