La Red Bull it seemed to be among the favorites to have the advantage following the changes to the regulations but in the tests it immediately appeared to be in difficulty in terms of pace. Despite this, however, the driver from Perth is confident that his car will be able to make space among its rivals in the championship; but not right away.

“With these machines there is more margin for development than last year”, commented Ricciardo a crash.net, “maybe the start won't be positive but all in all, I think the car isn't that bad, we can definitely improve”.

The Australian described this period of winter testing as the best ever: “If I look at past years, the tests have never been perfect but this year's work has been the best since I've been in the team”.

However, there is still a lot of work to be done at Red Bull, also because Daniel revealed that the gap to the current world champions is around half a second.
