“With these machines there is more margin for development than last year”, commented Ricciardo a crash.net, “maybe the start won't be positive but all in all, I think the car isn't that bad, we can definitely improve”.

The Australian described this period of winter testing as the best ever: “If I look at past years, the tests have never been perfect but this year's work has been the best since I've been in the team”.

However, there is still a lot of work to be done at Red Bull, also because Daniel revealed that the gap to the current world champions is around half a second.
