F1 | Australian GP: Mercedes, Bottas: “The best race ever”

Today's victory was the best way to turn the page after a 2018 to forget. It's true, it's only the first race of the year, but there is a new Valtteri Bottas, not only in appearance but also in character. With today's triumph he sent a clear sign to Mercedes: he no longer wants to be number 2, he no longer wants to have the label of "butler".

“What did you have for breakfast?”, Mark Webber jokingly asks the Finn after the podium ceremony:

“I ate porridge, but it's obviously not breakfast. It's all the years I spent in Formula 1, all the work I did over the winter and in my head after last year. It was my best race ever, I enjoyed it. It wouldn't have been possible without the car and the team we have. At the beginning I managed the race, trying to increase the gap, after six, seven laps, I saw that I was increasing the gap, it was a good feeling but I know I'm capable, I've managed to do it in the past. I just have to be able to express my level, be one with the car. When you feel on track, everything comes easier.".
