F1 | Australian GP Day 1: Hamilton confirms himself as the fastest
The Englishman precedes Bottas, fifth fastest for Vettel
The first day of free practice for the Australian Grand Prix goes to the Mercedes driver, who recorded his best time with an astonishing 1.22.600.
Second time for his teammate, Valtteri Bottas. The Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly follow in third and fourth place.
Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari finishes fifth fastest, followed by Kimi Raikkonen's Alfa Romeo.
Seventh and eighth times for Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo on Renault. Closing out the top 10 are Charles Leclerc's Ferrari (protagonist of a spin at the end of the session) and Romain Grosjean's Haas.
