The Formula 1 World Championship lands free-to-air for the first time on TV8, at button 8 on the remote control. In fact, the channel will broadcast all 21 Grands Prix of the season, 4 of which live: the GPs of Italy, the United States, Mexico and Brazil. All the Grands Prix of the season will be broadcast in prime time on TV8, while the most awaited GP, the Italian one which takes place on the Monza circuit, will be live at the new time of 15.10pm. TV8 also launches new studies dedicated to Formula 1 during race weekends with interviews, previews and insights, conducted by journalist Davide Camicioli assisted by three former Italian Formula 1 drivers: Giancarlo Fisichella, Ivan Capelli and Jarno Trulli, as well as engineer Giancarlo Bruno, appreciated technical commentator for years.

The first event of the season is scheduled for the Rolex Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for the Melbourne circuit. The Formula 1 studio lights up at 17.00pm on Saturday 24 March. As part of this long afternoon dedicated to F1, a first TV special will be broadcast at 17.30 pm which will retrace the 2017 season, dominated by Mercedes-Benz which won both the constructors' and drivers' titles with Lewis Hamilton, and will be deferred at 19.00 pm the full qualifications that determine the first starting grid.

On Sunday 25 March, at 21.00 pm, the appointment is with the full telecast of the first Australian Rolex Grand Prix. The Sunday programming begins as early as 18.00 pm with the pre-race study with previews and comments. Within this space also the first TV special which retraces Ferrari's 2017 season and followed by "Lewis IV - his story", which tells the story of the career of the Englishman Hamilton, four-time Formula 1 world champion (in 2008 with McLaren, in 2014, 2015 and 2017 with Mercedes).
